Widgets

Widgets put the app on your home screen: start and stop activities, see your goals and today's todos without opening the app.

Adding a widget

  1. Touch and hold an empty spot on the home screen
  2. Tap Widgets and find aTimeLogger
  3. Drag the widget you want to the home screen
  4. Touch and hold the widget to resize it

The widgets follow the Widget theme in Settings.

Activities

Your running and paused activities, each with its timer and the buttons to pause, resume and stop it, and your activity types below them: tap a type to start it.

With Pomodoro on, the widget also runs the Pomodoro cycle: start a pomodoro, take a break, resume, or start a new one.

Goals

The progress of your goals for the current period, the same as on the Goals tab.

Today's Todos

Today's todos as a checklist. When everything is done, the widget says All done!

If a widget falls behind

Android limits how often widgets refresh to save battery. If a widget's timers or lists lag behind the app, open the app once, or turn off battery optimization for aTimeLogger in the phone's settings.
